COPS 2010

Puck, Poland: 20th May - 22nd May 2010

Three days of extensive and incredibly varied training in many subjects based on Self Protection and Close Combat, with and without weapons.

Curriculum:

• WWII Combatives, based on the works of such experts as Capt WE Fairbairn and EA Sykes.

This workshop will explore the empty hand blows, the close quarter stick and knife method.

• The International Police Defensive Tactics Association's baton and short stick concept.

This workshop is scenario based and will equip you with effective skills with an impact weapon.

• Defending against two handed impact weapons.

This workshop explores tactics against such weapons as baseball bats and pick axe handles.

• The truth on Knives and other Edged Weapons.

Learning how the criminal predators use edged weapons and coping with a spontaneous knife attack on yourself.

• Scenario based exercises.

Learning how the ESDS style of teaching is applied. The four workshops are:

1. ESDS methodology & training schedule
2. Sensitive Areas of the Human Body. A lecture format lesson.
3. Instinctive Body Reactions. A lecture format lesson.
4. Examining competence through brief tests and exploring the real life statistics and evidence on which ESDS is based.
